With glorious weather pretty much all year round, visitors can always rely on Florida’s sandy beaches, beautiful parks and collection of world-class theme parks for entertainment. But there are some special events that can only be enjoyed at certain times of the year, and if you’re visiting Florida this spring make sure you don’t miss out on the activities we’ve listed below!
When: February 4th – March 25th
Arguably the most colourful event of the year, you can catch Florida’s biggest ever party at Universal Studios. Their annual Mardi Gras event runs throughout February up until the end of March, so there’s still time to join in on the fun during the start of spring.
Great food, incredible performers and vibrant, outrageous parades line the streets. The party continues into the night too, making it a great day out for both families and adults!
When: March 1st – May 29th
Make the most of the Sunshine State’s finest weather and head to Epcot. You’ll find the annual International Flower and Garden Festival inside this Disney Park, where over 70 theme topiaries, scrumptious outdoor kitchens and beautiful floral displays can be enjoyed. There Garden Rocks Outdoor Concert isn’t to be missed either – you can catch some great bands every Friday through Monday until May 29th.
When: April 1st-2nd
Fun for the entire family, head to Melbourne in Orlando to catch the amazing Air and Space Show. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be there to headline and guests can catch a rare performance of the French Air Force Patrouille de France too!
When: April 26th-30th
Head to the Fort Meyers Beach Film Festival and celebrate the very best independent filmmakers. About to run for the 11th year in 2017, the event attracts film enthusiasts and makers from all over the world and takes place over five days in April.
When: May 6th-7th and 13th-14th
Head to a galaxy not so far away and visit Legoland on May 6th, 7th, 13th or 14th to experience a very special Star Wars themed visit! Children will love watching the parade, meeting Luke Skywalker and Yoda and building their own Star Wars themed models!
Spring is a fantastic time to visit Florida, with temperatures reaching the low thirties and the crowds smaller than those in the summer months.
