Q. Do I want a direct flight or an indirect flight?
If it is a flight to Orlando then you will also have the choice of flying into Orlando International Airport or Sanford International airport.
You can fly directly from the UK to Orlando International Airport with Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. If it is a flight to Sanford then you can fly with Thomson Airways.
-
Q. Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic has direct flights departing from London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow on certain dates throughout the year. They offer a 31" seat pitch and seat back in-flight entertainment, their baggage allowance is 23kgs per person plus 5kgs hand luggage.
-
Q. British Airways
British Airways has direct flights available from London Gatwick. They also have a 31" seat pitch with seat back entertainment. Baggage allowance is 23kgs per person plus 5kgs hand luggage.
-
Q. Thomson
Thomson offers flights from Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bristol, although some of these routes are seasonal. They are both very generous with a 33" seat pitch* with seat back screens. Thomson operates the amazing Boeing Dreamliner aircraft on their Florida routes which offers a unique flying experience. Baggage allowance with these two airlines is 20kgs plus hand luggage.
You also have the option of flying on an indirect service which can save you money, especially if you are looking to travel on peak dates. The airlines that offer indirect flights to Orlando International are; Air Canada, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta, Iberia, KLM, United Airlines and US Airways. You can usually find a flight using one of these carriers from most UK airports using regional flight connections. This can make a big difference if you don't live near to one of the larger UK airports.
Many airlines also offer premium cabin upgrades which you may also wish to consider. Premium cabins offer much more leg room, bigger seats, upgraded in flight dining and entertainment and in most cases dedicated check in and priority baggage reclaim. Our Florida holiday experts will be able to confirm what is offered for the airline you wish to fly with before you book.
* These are the usual seat pitches however seat pitch can vary, please check at the time of booking.
