Given that Orlando is the most popular destination for most Brits heading out to the Sunshine State, it's likely that you'll be looking for flights that head to either Orlando International (MCO) or Sanford International (SFB) airports.

Heathrow has the best selection of flights to Orlando. However, Gatwick is a close second so make sure you consider both departure points when shopping around. Stansted, Luton and London City Airport do not fly to Orlando or Florida.

If you want to fly direct choosing a UK airline the best options are Virgin and BA and they both provide daily flights. If you decide to opt for the cheaper indirect route then you’ll have the choice from American, Canadian and European airlines such as KLM and Lufthansa. All these journeys will normally include a stop in a US City. Check what the connection times are if you take this option, as some can be quite long, which is fine if time or entertaining children are not factors!
